lots of sensationalist stories dominate the news these days and the (mostly) positive stories get buried because frankly, they're kinda boring.
anyway, this one is not about bikes, but it's bike related and i think goes to show that many people on bikes are not "cyclists"

Yes indeed. I like to think that there is a healthy percentage of folks joining the ranks of law enforcement with this kind of mentoring experience if you could call it that, that inspired them to be a more compassionate servant. Like a buddy of mine once said about some police...they have the power to either be saints or pricks.
