Monday morning I logged onto Yahoo to check my email. There was a message saying that their servers had been compromised and that many of their users would have to change their password in order to login.

I logged in using my regular password with no problem. However, every email in my Inbox between late July and September 26 had disappeared. I've tried looking in various forums and haven't found anyone else who has had this problem. There is no way to contact Yahoo directly for customer service.

Has anyone else encountered this or have advice on how to get help from Yahoo?

I do remember seeing that now that you mention it...

I use Yahoo. Emails are visible. However you should assume that everything in your email was downloaded and saved offline by someone else sometime between the hack date (2014?) and whenever you changed the email.

There has been a prompt to change passwords for a year.
