I have a Bostitch 6 gal compressor from Lowes and need a presta adapter to pump up tubeless. What do you use (that is cheap...)?

Buy this cheap Campbell Hausfeld inflator (https://smile.amazon.com/Campbell-Hausfeld-Inflator-Inflation-MP600000AV/dp/B0007ZJ1IK/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1474978151&sr=8-8&keywords=inflator) and replace the actual inflator hose with whatever pump replacement you like. The fitting at the nose of the inflator is standard 1/4" pipe, so you can use a standard brass barb fitting and a screw clamp to attach the presta hose to the inflator. Looks like this Topeak kit (https://smile.amazon.com/Topeak-SmartHead-Bicycle-Floor-Upgrade/dp/B000FIE4JK/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1474978441&sr=8-10&keywords=presta+chuck) has everything you need for the conversion. A quick perusal of Amazon will show one already made up by Grimm tools, for less than the cost of my parts, but there have been a couple reports of shoddy quality on the pump head hose. The Topeak SmartHead is a nice piece.

You pull the trigger to inflate, and there is a little button on the side to bleed, if you end up a little on the high side.

I have one of these. https://www.amazon.com/Digital-Pressure-Gauge-Inflator-Deflator/dp/B008UTNXYI
With the end cut off and a Silca chuck attached.

At the shop we soldered a Silca disc wheel inflator into a blow gun type attachment. We were going to drill/tap it for a gauge but never did. In the shuffle someone else ended up with it.

The inflators linked above seem good, I saved one for me. I may still solder my Silca head to a blow gun thing.

I made my own. It doesn't have a gauge, I use the compressor regulator instead.
Truth be told I rarely use it. Mostly for initial inflation or when I am patching tubes.

That's sort of what we had, except we just soldered the disc head into the first piece.

I didn't trust it for the longest time because I figured the Silca head would go shooting out. I always treated it like a gun, point only at inanimate objects and decouple when not in use. I have to admit it worked well for 10+ years. It might have been luck of the foolish for all I know.

Now I want to find that spare disc head and make another one for myself.

I use a Park Shop Inflator, because it's a Park. It wasn't cheap however.
This is an another option, and it happens to be made nearby, in Saratoga County: http://www.prestaflator.com

EVT makes a couple inflators as well.

That's really interesting. I have one of these: http://www.harborfreight.com/pistol-grip-tire-inflator-with-gauge-68270.html
I have been using it for car tires, and it's great for that. I'm going to get another and put a presta head on it. My LBS gave me a presta head, so it's a no-brainer for $10

How about a regular tire chuck and a thread on brass adapter?

The adapter is less than two bucks and if you already have a chuck you are good to go.
