Here are additional pictures of my crankset. I looked it over carefully and it is in excellent condition. All I could find worth mentioning was one small clearcoat nick (3-4mm?) at the end of the non-driveside arm (and what you see around it is the carbon texture, not additional scratches; the clearcoat is totally smooth):

Because of the texture of the carbon under the clearcoat, what appear to be blemishes in the pictures are not (they are the carbon texture and are actually under the clear). If there are any other small scratches, there wasn't much that I could really find that was noteworthy. I would say they are in excellent 9/10 condition for the age. Here are a few more pics:

Haha. Vamoots SL I bought off a forum member a month or so ago. Definitely a rare find. It is a 2007 before ongoing war made the supply of 6/4 difficult for bicycle manufacturers to source.

:) Thank you. I'm thrilled with it.

It got a new Record 11 crankset (thus this sale) and awaiting King Ti cages. But no other major changes. I'll probably make a post with some pics when I get around to it. In the meantime, it's seen a few very nice rides here in SoCal, but not nearly enough! Here was a good one from Labor Day (http://forums.thepaceline.net/showpost.php?p=2052513&postcount=977). (Having a kid and commuting by bike daily means it ends up garaged most of the week and the Surly (http://forums.thepaceline.net/showthread.php?t=190935) sees lots of use).

Sweet pics of the ride in the SGM. I've never ride that part of SoCal, but have thousands of miles in the SMM especially near Agoura Hills. Probably my favorite place for cycling. You're a lucky man with that bike, those mountains, and your ability to commute to work.

GLWS and another free bump. :)

Yes, I live in Santa Monica so I get into the Santa Monica Mountains as well, but usually more from the coastal side. Great riding in the canyons and up the PCH. I'm from the Pasadena area originally so know the riding out there and my parents are still out there. I actually prefer riding out that way because it is a little quieter, some more serious climbing, and a little more off the beaten path.

The commute to work is a mixed bag on the Westside of LA. Drivers can be pr**** and the smartphone use is out of control. Most days its worth it though.

To the top. An identical one went on eBay for more (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Campagnolo-Chorus-CT-Carbon-Fiber-10-Speed-172-5-Compact-Crankset-Cranks-rdf56-/142140569942?hash=item21183cf956%3Ag%3AhJcAAOSwmLl X9n8F&nma=true&si=XoMjjQTHc8LGA8RcUQStYgOPnkk%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557). I'd probably list mine for about the same there.

Posted on eBay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/232128134798?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649). Make me an offer here for a better price.

Just from looking at the behavoir of the forumites I do not see the "better price offering" to happen here. Not being the price police, so do not take me wrong.

Can you clarify what you mean? What I meant is that I'd give an appreciably lower price here than to offers on eBay because of the fees. I've had lots of interest here but people end up bailing for one reason or another. Offers welcome!

Yeah, I've done the research on what some of them have actually sold for on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=campagnolo%20chorus%20ct%20172.5&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&rt=nc&_trksid=p2045573.m1684

There are a few comparable deals for the same thing in the same size (UT, Chorus, 172.5, etc.), but the prices are all over the place. The bottom line is I'd like to get $170 net to me (first post updated to reflect this). I'd rather sell here on the forum, but that's why it is priced like it is on eBay. If I don't get takers here or on eBay, I'll bring it down a bit.

How did you do that search??? ???

Prices are all over the place but to have an idea of what is more valuable I can highlight that cranksets w/o chainrings worth almost nothing, just because at the time you add new chainrings (even no campy ones) you end up close to the price of a new crankset, have no idea if this happens with shimano cranksets tho. Probably doesnt happens because you can find shimano chainrings all over the place, so probably shimano cranksets values are more standardized, but campagnolo ones? all over the place.

I have bought cranksets just to get the chainrings and the chainring bolts for example. And sure i've not the only one that have done it, and thats why the price is all over.

Then if you go to the UK you can buy a set of fulcrum cranksets for less than 90 bucks shipped, and that affects the whole pricing system big time, sure several forumites got more than one set of this ones in the last few months :D

Just comments about campagnolo stuff, u never know what is going to happen with the cranksets.

How did you do that search??? ???

You do your search, then in the left hand column select "sold listings" to view ones that actually sold, or "completed listings" to see all listings that are over, including those that sold and those that didn't. Its a really helpful way to research what items are selling for on eBay to price things you want to sell.
