I know it's a weird question but I still remember a dream I had when I was a college student. I was riding a completely white Tommasini with C-Record components, a radially spoked front wheel and the old blue & white Campy Ghibli disc wheel.

Someday I am going to build that bike.

Yeah, I have cycling dreams occasionally. More like the liminal state between sleep and wakefulness, my brain replays good routes I've been on. Nestucca Scenic Byway in Oregon comes up regularly, even though I've only been there once.

You could only ride that front Ghibli on the track. I can't imagine how squirrely that would be in a crosswind.

No, but if I can't sleep, I imagine myself riding my bike and poof like magic I just doze off.

I do.

Then I dream about what the bicycle I'm dreaming about will cost, and I wake up in a cold sweat....

That C-Record group was supafine.

I've never had a Campy bike but I remember going to the Hotter'n Hell Hundred Expo in 1990 and there was a display bike painted in neon yellow, orange and green. (It was the nineties!) Full C-Record.

I tried out the shifting and it was like butter. So much better than the Suntour Alpha 3000 I was riding at the time. I was amazed. Of course, that group cost more than my whole bike!

When I was younger I used to dream about women. Now that I am older I dream about older women. What was the question again?

POTD. That's a WAY better response than I was gonna post!

Exactly. When I was young 50 year old women weren't hot, now that I'm old that's completely changed.

And just for the record I've never dreamed about a bike, a ride maybe, but not bikes.

I have it was sublime, actually I have dreamt about riding, no importance was placed on the actual bicycles, it was of no consequence though there was a sense the bikes were very nice. They worked flawlessly but I was immersed in the experience and my beautiful manicured surroundings.

Coasting manuals for days. Broke my leg looping out of one 15 years ago and have had a mental block since. Except for dreams.

Never about bikes directly just the rides I've been on!

Whenever I dream about riding, I'm on the bikes I had as a kid, on the roads I rode on as a kid.

Sure I dream about bikes since my life at this time revolves around bikes pretty much 24/7 for health, pleasure, work. I'm retired, single,no kids to support or grandkids to babysit nor a wife to placate.Have a girlfriend but we maintain separate residences and have our own hobbies and friends. So Yeah, bikes dominate my life, I love and live them.

No, but this morning I was dreaming that I was hanging with Colin Powell and he was driving this tiny obscure vintage British sportster made out of wood which had an extremely finicky electrical system that he was tending to with some weird conductive paste. He was totally cool.
