Cyclist missing from Green Mountain Stage Race

A woman who was supposed to compete in the Green Mountain stage race in Burlington Monday has been reported missing.

Not much information, but my wife caught it on the news. If you're in the area, keep an eye out. No idea if it is bike related or something else, or just lost. She is from Africa and doesn't speak English.

It would be helpful to know if she missed the start or went missing during the stage but that information does not seem to be available.

Pretty scary either way. You would think/hope that would be a fairly safe area.

Apparently, she's been found safe now.

A group organizer said Tuesday morning that Dawit's cousin told them she has been found safe.

whew. i was thinking the worst with all the events happening now. glad she's safe.

so... what happened? she stop at a cafe and chow down on some good southern food and then went partying with the locals?
