Greetings, all;

A friend has a Spesh Roubaix with on stock Axis 1.0 hubs. He asked he could just replace the 9s freehub with an 11S freehub body and upgrade his drivetrain to 11s.

I couldn't find anything on the interweb. (Who the heck makes Axis?)

The Spesh shop guys were puzzled as well but they thought they could get something that MIGHT work.

I have an ace wheelbuilder that has been machining existing freehub bodies to fit 11s with pretty good results. Certainly an option.

Any thoughts from this esteemed knowledge base?

I know others who've done the machining thing with good results and its probably cheaper/easier than replacing the FH on $100 set of wheels. Good 11s wheelsets are everywhere now if he messes it up.
