Speedvagen OG1 makes the BBC Web Site's list of "10 Most Beautiful Bikes of 2016"

I'm not sure why they call the list "the most beautiful" because in most cases the ones they did select aren't there based on aesthetics. They try to explain that they have a pretty broad definition of "beauty" but IMO it makes no sense.

I would be hard pressed to see why that bike wouldn't be on that list. It's aesthetically gorgeous. They also ride beautifully, but if beauty is purely visual, they nailed it with that bike.

However, that is a pretty broad range of bikes, to the point where I only see them as 'wheeled vehicles'. Kind of a dumb article. Industrial design speculation perhaps, but beautiful bikes, not so much./

Agreed, the Speedvagen is one of the few there that would belong on a more traditional "most beautiful" list.

It looks like they are just trying to be diverse in selecting prime examples of the varying cycling genre we see these days (even though some of these examples we will probably never see in person). But I agree, from a two wheel road cycling genre that Speedvagen is certainly one of the best examples on the market of design and construction excellence.

Its the inly beautiful one in the entire list. Should have been no 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 and 10.
