So I stripped a seat post clamp bolt this morning. Does anyone know where to get a bolt for a 2016 Cannondale Save seat post?

Most 2 bolt seatposts use pretty generic cap screws. Are you sure it's just the bolt and not the part it screws into as well?

Don't you have a Cannondale LBS? If not then take the bolt to a local hardware store and have them get you a replacement bolt.

Called Cannondale and they said they don't sell the individual bolts and weren't sure what they were called. This is the picture 1697926318

Where are you located?

As was said, checking with your local dealer would be a good first step.

If they, or another shop, support a team riding Cannondales they are probably more likely to have what you need

They're probably M6 bolts, and the nut is called a barrel nut. Assuming the washer goes on the bolt head end, you could probably substitute a socket cap head bolt; if you wanted to get fancy you could relieve the thread-end of the cap with a belt sander so it would match the profile of the washer better, assuming it's concave to accept the existing concave bolt head.

I will assume is the round cilinder that is broken, what you can do is to find a friend with an old campagnolo seatpost or a thomson seatpost (fsa aswell, same with other manufacturers), those use a similar piece, give it a try with any of those in case you cant locate what you need in specific.

For example you can find after market thomson ones.

Hope this helps.

It's the bolt head that is stripped. I think I'm going to try a regular socket cap bolt and see if that works. I contacted Cannaondale and an area dealer and neither have the replacement bolt.

Oh. almost alll the manufacturers use a socket head bolt and then they put like a rounded wedge so it can adjust the angle.

Hope you can find the right part man, sucks when stuff like that happens.

What really sucks is there aren't a lot of choices for after market posts. The seatpost is from a 2016 SuperSix Evo and the seatpost is a 25.4. When I talked to Cannondale I told them them were using very specific bolt on a very specific seatpost. It's the only thing I'm not happy about with the bike.
