Sweet, just the motivation I needed to finally order one.

Thanks for the referral, and you're welcome.

Such a cool product.
My mom got me one before she passed away. Her contact info is on it.
My dog destroyed the band but left the plate intact. A couple of days after ordering I had a new band. I don't even notice it when I ride, but I never leave the house without it.

Also, their app with the breadcrumb tracker is really, really cool.

This was enough to put me past the tipping point on a new RoadID. Elite Black Edition for $17.99 shipped... wow!

Also saw their first responder category and found out as a ski patroller I qualify. Another win -- from a company with a great product.

I'm trying to decide between the Slim 2 and the Sport version. Anyone have specific feedback on comfort and ease to clean of either?

Thanks!

I used to wear those stupid Livestrong bands and the silicone didn't feel that great against my skin. So I went with the Sport, hoping it will be more breathable and comfortable.

I also didn't know what to put for the "inspirational quote" line. So went with "How's my bike?"

"Did I win?" was a close second.

where I don't even feel mine there. I have the large one. it's smaller than any watch I'll put on.

I had an inspirational quote once (anyone get that plate number), but I switched it out for my health card number.

While in the hospital after my last car/bike interaction, I apparently annoyed the RN's for hours repeating the same two questions: Where am I? Where's my bike? :)
I've been wearing mine everywhere. It has all my info, and the scum that roll me & steal my wallet aren't likely to take this piece of plastic.

I have the sport and just ordered one with the silicone band. Looking for less bulk with the clasp vs fold-over velcro closure. Plus the Sport does get grungy (but easily thrown in the wash, or wear it handwashing dishes in a deep sink:))

Horses for courses. ...

No quote on mine, but my adult son's does read "hey, dad, wait up!" Guess who gave it to him:beer:

Cdn_bacon, your $5 off discount is no longer valid. It says you've reached the limit of people who can use it.

Does anyone else have a link? If not, the sale is still a good deal and I'll probably get one, but saving an extra couple of dollars is always nice.

I had a wreck a year ago. T-bone a dog and went somersaulting head first and landed on my back. I had the wind knocked out of me and was hurting badly. After I regained my wind the group ask for my wife's phone number. I think I had a mild concussion because I was having trouble remembering the number also it hurt to talk. I just held up my arm with my Road I.D. on it. No broken bones, but broke the Enve 2.0 into. Titanium frame was fine. Thx Road I.D.

The set I bought 8 years ago is still going strong.

Even a cheaper option. Although I wonder how much annoying wearing a necklace would be, especially with it flopping around with the jersey open...

It doesn't bother me. Not much flapping at all. And you can shorten the chain if needed.

i have had a road id dogtag for years now. literally never take it off. shower with it, sleep with it, etc. i absolutely do NOT notice it's there anymore. i shortened the chain slightly and it's comfortable.

IMO the dog tag is the way to go. most emergency responders and hospital staff will instantly recognize a dog tag as a place to find important information. i dont know about a bracelet honestly, could be hit or miss and lots of people might mistake it for a fashion item.

i also dont like anything around my wrist other than a watch, so the dog tag is ideal.

Well, ordered the dog tags, too. Now I just need my name on my frame, and maybe my underwear, and I'll be set.

I'm a ski patroller. We and I believe all first responders are trained to look for necklace and wrist medical alert items. I don't have statistics, but it you think about the number of people who have some type of medical bracelet it's a good place for that info. Ankle/shoe may be more prone to get missed.

Necklace style is good too. Big thing is to have it on your person. A helmet of seatbag ID can easily get separated from you in an accident, as can something in a jersey pocket.

Thank you for choosing to wear an ID!

I would like to order one of these, and I see that the various codes for $5.00 off posted here are still in effect, so thank you to all for those.

Before I order, though, I am a bit confused by cdn_bacon's post #1:
"All ID's $20 or less."

All I see are the regular prices, with the $5.00 coupon to be applied at check-out.

Was the "All ID's $20 or less." some kind of sale that is no longer in effect, even though the $5.00 discounts are still valid?

Thanks for the codes guys - it covered the cost of postage down here to Oz  I've ordered the dog tag based on some of the comments here. I've had the wrist band for a few years but think the tag will work better for me.

The service from Road ID is very good IME.

Common among the pro peloton..lots of little 'keep me from crashing' doo-dads.

Yes, the $20 ID sale was for only 48 hours.
