bike-components.de?? Had a recent experience with Starlike that was very positive, but looking for any insights into Bike-Components. Thank you in advance!!

They run your card, bungle the exchange rate and use the most terrible shipper

While living in Europe, I used them a whole lot. Exchange rate was a bit of a gamble, but prices and shipping time (once again, within Europe) was super fast!
I used them 20+ time and only had to deal with customer service once.
When I did have to deal with customer service (this was about 3 years ago, so things might have changed) it was slow, clunky and not very easy. They were nice to talk to, but it seemed like they were working on different computer systems, couldn't find my order etc..
However, I don't have any experience with shipping stuff from them to the States, so you might want to see if any other paceliners have tried that.

I have never bought from them, but I have had excellent experiences (ordering from USA) with these German shops:
StarBike (like you); BIKE24 (https://www.bike24.com/Cycling.html); and r2-bike (https://r2-bike.com/).

r2bike were great.

Bikecomponents.de is a very nice shop in my experience. Lots of ppl use it around here.
