...but oh so comfy. The rounded profile and droopy sides have eliminated the saddle soreness I used to get when the edge of the saddle dug into the crease between my glutes and hamstrings.

I tried one for a week and I really liked the shape, but the fact that the nose flares out wide toward the underside chaffed the inside of my thighs like crazy. I wish the sides just went straight down near the nose.

??? never seen that saddle before, actually the only one Ive tried is the arione and did not work for me at all.

Interesting shape, wonder how it does with people that needs a cut out in the saddle.

Try it w/o the cutout first. I've been riding a cutout saddle for a long time, took a chance on this one and it worked. It has a "softer" area in the center.

That saddle is uglier than that car.

German electronics might not be the best, but they are far better than Italian and English electronics. I can't believe people are so hot on Ferrari. Their electronics are equal to Fiat. You couldn't give me an English car, unless you went through it and replaced every piece of wiring.

Which saddles have you cut out yourself?

none... yet!

though I did drill holes in the sides of my selle anatomica to put some string through the sides and pull it inwards like a brooks imperial (didn't help)

I been really close to cut more than one saddle but all the time I wonder if it will sag with a cut that shouldnt be there :P

The saddle that I liked a lot was the Kontact saddle, did all what they said it did but i needed the cut out, asked the Kontact designer to consider a design pretty much with no to minimal padding and with a cut out or maybe a deep relief at the center. Doesnt look he is going to to do it at all. :(

Certainly the look is non traditional but not as bad as a box of dead frogs and not even that ugly in the category of ugly saddles.

That said, this Volta on this Stelbel is not ugly in any way, imo. :)

I gave one a shot for a few weeks, and could not get to comfy on it. It had a very pointed feel, like all my weight was supported on the highest point. It felt long too, I was all over that thing trying to find the sweet spot. I passed it along and the next owner loves it. It is cool to see something that is different, that is different in a good way, not like the ISM saddles, I cannot stand seeing them on bikes.
