OT: Filling USA scripts in Canada??

Will be traveling to Nova Scotia soon, probably over 3 wks. What is the deal with getting refills for both myself and wife on prescriptions from USA...I've heard conflicting reports that it can't be done, etc.

Any pharmacists in house or user experiences??

I travel to Israel every summer for almost a month - this is what I do:

Tell your pharmacist you're traveling out of the country for an extended period and tell him/her your rx will run out while you are away. The pharmacy will contact your insurer and get permission for a refill sooner than your script runs out.
You can also tell your dr of your situation and he/she should give you samples to get you thru.


Much better than spending your time on vacation going to a pharmacy...if that's even an option.

I did it online but never in person. Saved a ton of $. Simply uploaded us script to the site and they shipped the med.
