I am trying to build a forward facing wheelset for cx this fall for my canti bike that I will eventually sell and buy a disc frame.

So the goal is to buy a 142x12 through axle dt Swiss center lock rear hub and convert it to 130mm qr. looking at dt's tech chart the hub is convertible to 135mm qr. does this mean that 135mm is the only conversion it can do, or that no one has asked to convert to 130mm and they didn't put it on the tech chart?

Any help would be appreciated

Invest in boost! It's bound to be the future.
DT is a good bet for future standards and worth a call to see about getting down to 130.

I asked that question and they said no-go.

Disc brakes and 130mm don't really get along....apparently it might be possible with the right endcaps:

I trust Tristan. Maybe they just gave me the company line.

Ok, I'll take the plunge and report back. I wonder if I should have the lbs build it at 130mm and re-dish for 142 when I go disc? Thanks guys!

Oh also, I'm not using disc brakes at 130mm, only canti initially

I'd get something like:
https://www.amazon.com/DT-350-12x142mm-Center-11-speed/dp/B00P26NS56/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1471405786&sr=8-1&keywords=dt+350+center+lock+rear+hub+11+speed

and

then:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-DT-Swiss-135mm-QR-End-Cap-Kit-for-11-Speed-Road-Disc-hubs-/182181404523?hash=item2a6adb9f6b:g:z2AAAOSwvg9Xa~V 7

Then the 130mm endcap:
http://www.modernbike.com/dt-swiss-left-non-drive-side-end-cap-for-130mm-240-and-350-road-hubs

Then Dish it for 11-speed 130mm(technically 131mm). Re-dish by 2mm by tightening the non-drive side spokes when you move to disc.

The thing that concerns me is the rotor then ends up being 5 mm closer to the inside face of the dropout, but the caliper is in a relatively fixed position. There isn't that much lateral movement in the caliper. I think you might run into issues.

I would say get the QR end caps for 130mm..as long as you don't have a rotor on there, I think it would be fine.

Oh man. I missed the part about it being a canti bike. Disregard my posts.

We came to the same conclusion, this was what my game plan was initially, there just isn't anything I could find that says this will conclusively work.

I'd get something like:
