Looking to get a little more cog capacity with my 9 speed setup. Would the long cage Ultegra 6800 rear derailleur work OK with my 7700 STI shifters and 9 speed chain?

Would appreciate any feedback from those who've tried a setup like this.

Cheers.

mid-cage 9s mountain derailleur is an option as well.

Different pull ratios

Any mtn bike rear derailleur up to 9sp Shadow derailleurs will work great with your setup. Anything 10sp or newer needs an adaptor (wolf tooth?) to make it work

Your short cage *should* be OK up to 30t in the back with folks saying they've run 32t cogs with the b- tension screw reversed
