I doubt it, unless there is some brotherly hate.

Selle Royal was founded in the 50s by Riccardo Bigolin, then started Fizik in the 90s, and later bought Brooks, Crank Bros, etc. Meanwhile, in the 70s Riccardo's brother, Giuseppe Bigolin, acquired Selle Italia, who now also control Selle San Marco.

It's like a Luxottica empire, and I'd bet that the Selle Italia Brookalike was agreed to by the bros over some "far superior" BaccalĂ  alla Vicentina and Soave. ;)

I could do without the fancy crest on the top, but otherwise I think they're lovely! I like the script and the two-tone rivets.

The look great. I wonder if the have the short rails of a brooks. If not I would try one.
