Just wanted to confirm what was mentioned in the thread about lower gears with Campy--am I OK using an Athena 11 speed ultra torque with my older Chorus 10 speed setup?

Cheers,
Dean

yes. tons of people moved to an athena-11 crank with everything else 10-sp to get the compact option. no problem.

Cool, thanks. I know that on some other forum (where I don't trust the info) someone was going on about chain clearance which made no sense to me.

I had this setup on 2 different bikes for many miles without any issue. Centaur and Chorus 10 speed parts with the Athena Crankset

I even swaped a 10 speed chorus standard crankset for an 11 speed compact on a customers Shimano equipped bike and he had no issues.

Yup, plug and play, keep the 10s chain. and for Ssalmon right above..added a huge amount of class to the bike!!:o
