Hey all,

Riding my bike for a quick 1 mile commute, not enough time on bike to really necessitate a shoe change, I'd rather ride in my work shoes.

Any suggestions on a good quality pedal that grips leather soles? My MKS gripkings don't work so well on leather, thinking of rubber city pedals.

Always been curious to give the Ergon PC-2 (http://www.modernbike.com/ergon-pc2-pedals) pedals a try...

other than a flattish pedal with griptape, you may consider pinned mtb pedals. nothing will bite more than those shin shredders.

alternatively, you could try pedal power grips

I recommend crankbros 50/50 pedals. In my experience, they grip leather very well.

Origin 8 platform pedals. Those grip spikes will do a number on your pant legs if you aren't careful.

My MKS Touring pedals grip leather soles a little better than my Grip Kings but maybe not enough better to be worth adding to your collection.

Someone mentioned tape. There used to be pedals called CHP. Nothing to do with our Highway Patrol. The pedals had WIDE aluminum platforms covered with tape that reminded me of emery paper. NOTHING slipped on that surface. If you wrapped tape like that over flat pedals you might get the performance you want.

I don't think hard rubber surface will grip as well as your Grip Kings.
Wrap these in emery paper tape and you might have a winner.

I use these on my commuter. They are great but they would definitely scuff a nice shoe.

Make sure they are 9/16, not 1/2 inch..spindle diameter.
