Bought a pair of Chorus skeleton calipers on the 'Bay that came without barrel adjusters.

Best pic I had on hand of mine:

In poking around, there looks to be two types of adjusters used for this caliper. The first one is round all the way around and looks exactly like the old 10 speed Campy barrel adjusters.

The other type has a little tab that sticks down, kind of like some Dura Ace calipers use.

Are they interchangeable? How can I tell which I need?

Whichever one your thumbs prefer. They're interchangeable.

If you want them to be correct, the one with the little tab is actually the right one for Chorus skeletons.

Looking at the parts catalogs, it appears the ones with the tab were only used in 2007. The 2008 line catalog shows them on Chorus and Record, but the 2008 parts catalog shows the plain type. 1st pic is 2007, 2nd 2008.
