i was thinking the same thing, that dangling ponytail is dangerous, gonna get stuck in some disc brakes or some such...:D:beer:

having been a multiple national champion, won the TdF climbers classification and 3rd on GC twice, and numerous other world-class achievements... inga seemed to compensate for the ponytail just fine!

I've been a fan of Ingas for a long time, for two reasons: she have a strong moral compass in refusing to dope, and she started her career here in town at Cal Poly.

She must have matriculated on a track scholarship in 1982, because she got hurt after her freshman year in 1983 and began bike racing in 1984. She made the Olympic team that year after only several competitive road races.
If she was a Poly Wheelman she was not one for very long.
