And since I have been down and out, I ordered new kit for when i get back on the road. brand is Lapin. Nearly as nice as my Rapha pro bibs, and the jersey is really comfy. love the colors too

I'd be tempted to take a little spin...

Years ago, I remember riding my bike while I had a cast on my leg. Had to lean up against the porch to get started. I tore up the bottom of the cast on the pedals--the doctor proceeded to grill me--"Were you walking on this cast?"

I could honestly say no...

Really I was riding one-legged with the cast leg just along for the ride. Of course, it never occurred to me what might happen if I had to put weight on the leg in an emergency 'cause I was only 19.

Nice kit!

Congrats on the pin removal and kit. I had mine removed in January so I can relate. Just be cautious if you do decide to go for a spin! Good luck with your pt:beer:

i went about ten miles outside yesterday. the slight road vibration is not comfy, and the hand fatigued quickly, but it felt great to have real wind in my face. riding out of the saddle was a no go. time on the trainer paid off, i had some good jump!

good to hear you're getting better! so you're not supposed to ride but did? how long until you're cleared to officially ride?

I'm in the sixth week of no riding due to hand injury as well. no surgery or pins for me, though. had a cast for three weeks and have been in a removable splint for three. feels pretty good overall, now that my hand/finger strength is returning. not really any soreness where the break was any more. get checked out again next week. haven't ridden outside yet but putting weight on the hand on the trainer is good so far. I totally forgot about road vibration though
