I can't find the distance between the inside of the fork blades listed anywhere. I'm looking for a 1 1/8" full carbon disc fork that will accommodate a 52-584 tire. I'd really appreciate a measurement from someone who owns this fork.

Also, the integrated race effectively replaces the baseplate on my Chris King headset, correct?

Not exactly what you are asking for, but I just bought and installed the Whisky carbon disc 1 1/8" fork and it replaced a Wound Up. Very happy with the Whisky. I think it'll accommodate a very wide tire, based on the gap I have now with my 40mm tires.

I have this fork on my Seven Evergreen. It measures 57mm wide at the top of Clement MSO 40's. Might be a bit tight if your tire is a true 52mm. I really like the fork, light and compliant compared to the current crop of uber oversized headrubes and forks. I also have a steel Salsa Vaya fork for the same bike, it is about 65mm wide. Nice fork, lots of attachment points, but heavy...
Correct, you do not need a baseplate with the fork, but you end up with an odd gap between the headset and the fork. I stuck a rubber o-ring in mine.
May I ask what your building?

Great info. Thanks. What size O-ring should I look for?

It's a custom steel frame with a low trail fork (63mm offset). The HTA is 72.5deg. I'd like to have a second fork to drop weight and convert to "neutral" trail when not using fenders and racks.

I have just gotten this fork for a 650b road bike build. With a 42mm (measured with callipers) there is about 10mm of space each side. So it would be tight but doable. If you're going to use it ofroad I'd use something else.

I would use a No. 7, but my frame's head tube is straight 1 1/8".
