Serotta ATX questions

A friend is considering purchasing a Serotta ATX that will need a new fork. It has the large block ATX decals on the top tube, a silver seatpost clamp, and is built with the original 8 speed Shimano group from the mid 90's. Does anyone know what year Serotta started building that model with a head tube that would accept a 1 1/8" headset?

Just checked through the catalogs posted on this forum (http://forums.thepaceline.net/forumdisplay.php?f=18) and the first place I see it advertised is in 1994 (http://forums.thepaceline.net/showthread.php?t=82632)

Thanks. After looking at the catalogues I think it was made in 1996 and has the larger headtube. The top tube decal throw me off because it looks like it belongs on an older frame.
