Agreed Pogba is overrated, should consider subbing him to energize the attack, hes not been involved, often the ball is hitting that space behind the strikers and nobody from France in that space? Coman is a refreshing change, so many close chances, so little to show for it.
Pogba over-dribbles every time, playing right into POR's hands. Complete ball-stopper.

France is real good, fast, very precise. Lets go!
Precise is not the word I would use. ;)
So many blown chances.

Its always unfortunate when a good player is lost to an injury, i was just giving him a hard time. hes not my favorite human in the world though.
I do wish he was still playing, but this game has been so awful they should just end it now and call it a crap draw.

he is into himself, into looking good, etc but he does tons of social work with kids, etc... always really nice to his fans. He is not a bad guy and not to mention is the best player in the world.

sure I am Portuguese so that influences my opinion but I really think people hate him on a level that is unecessary.

Look that tax fiasco with messy, everyone has forgot about it, if it was with ronaldo he would have been crucified.

Come on R3, you really are being influenced by nationalism (and tax laws ;)).
CR7 is a great player, but he is not the best in the world.

yup - that's football - in the books, years from now it will still read Portugal as the champs of 2016 - however, they did sneak in - was the 3rd best in their group - new for this year. But, they will raise the trophy - champs of europe.

That wasn't Argentinian Hand of God, but that mis-called handball surely played a role in the outcome. Portugal was pressing, which is how they initially picked off the ball and led to the ball hitting Eder on the hand. Immediately afterwards, it was the freekick that hit the woodworks. Ball went out of bounds, and it was again a throw-in that got picked off, which set up the chain of events for the goal. Kiescielny was sitting on a yellow and couldn't really defend as closely.

No honor amongst the Portuguese players, from Moutinho, whose pass hit Eder's hand and goes up to ask for the handball call, to Eder, who acts as if he were innocent.

About damn time they allow replay in games to stop bs like this from affecting the game.

All part of the toolishness, I guess.

:) I agree was not the best game of the Euro but I am just happy Portugal won. We should have had this on 2004. Also, France was just being dicks this whole last week, the the bus thing and just putting down Portugal. Sometimes you have to be more humble.

France is an incredible team though. They will be a contender in the world cup for sure.

Not a CR7 fan, hate Pepe but overall it's about time for Portugal to win a major tournament.

I mean, Portugal pulled an Italy on this Euro.

Usually Italy starts their world/euro cups slow, with a lot of draws, defending a lot and then they end up winning ;)

LOLOLOL, cracking me up BUT thats a nice VW bus. Those type 1s go for a lot of money now a days

Thanks man!

I totally understand why people don't like Pepe. He was one of the best, if not the best defender on this Euro and his behavior was great. I wish he was always like this and I think less people would hate him.

You'll probably laugh but the best thing England could do is hire Big Sam.
And it is official.

Big Sam took the call.

Either Big Sam will prove me to be a super genius or a footballing idiot. Time will tell.

Having said that, I think he will turn things around & England will prove to be a much tougher team to face. He'll organize them defensively & give them a distinct style (though not sure creatively how much so). We'll see. They have tons of talent. Let's see if Big Sam can get them to play to their expected level.

Problem is, Solo’s preference for Sawyer as her bug spray of choice conflicts with U.S. Soccer’s official brand. Earlier this month, the federation announced that it had entered a multiyear agreement with Cutter as its official insect repellent. Oops.

Wow. At least 8 other EPL managers and 2 Championship managers have been listed as involved in this scandal, accused by Italian agent Pino Pagliara. Mino Raiola is also possibly involved, naturally.

The Daily Telegraph has not yet revealed the names of the managers, but it does not look like good times in the FA right now.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/content/dam/football/2016/09/27/109732340_sam-allardyce-sport-large_trans++xi2zLgDPyNJxHTH5AndvQ-B6934Z_fQkCNPlOMQLZz0.jpg

Apparent candidates for the England job (but some may be on the Daily Telegraph list) are:
Gareth Southgate (current interim), Steve Bruce, Alan Pardew, Eddie Howe, Chris Coleman, Roberto Mancini, Laurent Blanc, and Louis Van Gaal.

BobC

The England Manager job is indeed "the poisoned chalice."

The English are hell bent on soccer self destruction. Utterly incredible.

How would like to be Sunderland right now? Would you take Big Sam back?

cadence90

Serie A has had some bad scandals, and I guess other leagues too, but this FA one could be huge.

What choice do Sunderland have?
It's not as if whomever is managing Stoke City is going to come running. :D
