Can someone recommend something other than a Thomson. Looking for either AL or Carbon - maybe Ti (but are they worth it?). Need black, 27.2, 0 setback and 330mm length. Thanks.

Zipp makes a zero setback post that's pretty nice.

Moots if you want Ti. Or Eriksen.

I've got a couple WOOdman SL Plus seatposts. Lots of colors. Crazy cheap, very light, so far pretty strong.

Just out of curiosity, why not Thomson?
In my experience they've been very good (as long as you don't over-torque the two rail clamp bolts).

Just wanting to tap the wealth of knowledge here relative to zero set backs. I have no issue with Thomson, in fact ride one now. But might go in a different direction with present build and need ideas.

Got it. I was wondering if maybe there was an issue with them that I didn't know about.
Good Luck

Synchros zero setback. Nicely made. Comes from Canada and made in either Aluminium (Canadian spelling) or Carbon.

If op wants black, that excludes ti.
Thomson - alu
Syntace - alu, carbon
tune - alu, carbon
PMP - carbon
Syncros - alu, carbon
WR Compositi - carbon
All good in my experience. The only others I have used are Eriksen and Moots ti.

Velo Orange makes a 400 mm post that fits your requirements, and at $50 or so, you can definitely cut it down!

I find Thomson posts slip. But beautifully made.
