I am looking into buying a C.B.T Italia steel bike from 1987. I don't have the chance to ride it before buying. Anyone have experience that you can share. Have not been able to find any reviews. Looks like it has stunning attention to detail. Thanks!

I've been very tempted by some of the NOS offerings on eBay. Some have been priced very reasonably. They use odd colors, but some work great.

I haven't seen one in person though...

There appears to be delta in quality between the frames in the line being sold on EBay. The frames at $150 do not appear to be very good quality. I am looking at the Amadeus model.

The Amadeus seems to share some details with the frame that tempted me. I was listing for a budget Italian townie at the time and was trying to picture it as a 650b conversion.

If the buy-ibis reasonable, why not try it? I dig the more obscure stuff.

By the way, CBT from looking at them I can tell you those are racing bikes.

I have a CBT Italia Dream SLX. It's a very nice frameset with their signature scalloped seat-tube. Quality stuff.
