Could have been a very interesting team dinner if he had totally screwed Atapuma. Don't know if that was on team orders or if he was just being his typical lunkheaded self again.

It will be interesting to see at the Tour how he and Porte get along. If they do.

Yeah he pretty much screwed the pooch today. Looks like Porte will be BMC's guy at the TDF

Then at the finish, big hugs with his "team mate" Barf

Talansky has quietly moved into a great position in the TdS. As for TJ, a picture is worth a thousand words...

TJ Whines-a-Lot , Porte is and should be the guy for the TdF. I have a side bet that Porte finishes ahead of Contador and Frommie too.

Good call. Probably behind the slider, though ( Froome).

That's a good bet. Porte looked good at the Dauphine

That certainly was a great effort. The question remains: was it enough?

The thing I like about the shorter tours...they keep punching till the final stage...and boy, what a final stage it will be with two HC climbs, long downhill into finish but who knows, im pulling for talansky at this point.

It would be nice to see a break for talansky. He sure has had a heap of bad luck...

BMC is going to have to make a choice, and soon. The "two leaders" thing rarely works, either because you have one too many proven yellow jersey contenders or because you don't have any. The reality is that neither Porte nor TJ have demonstrated that they are true threats to win the TdF.

As John Madden says about a different sport, "if you have two quarterbacks, it means you don't have any." I think the same applies here.

Agreed and well said!

Having said that, call me brutal but deep inside me I'd like to see Nibali ambush Aru's leadership at the tour. I don't think Aru is in as good shape as he'd like to be in the tour and Nibali, who knows? It'll definitely cause come needed drama in typically robotic Grand Tour.

Definitely didn't see that coming, especially with his performance yesterday! Honestly, I was happy for him, it's one of his best palmares to date.

There's no doubt that Tejay has a great engine. It's the control mechanism that often is out to lunch. Million-dollar legs, 10-cent head.

True, I hope he gets it together one day but so far the signs aren't there.
