I have a nice black Record 10 rear hub but (as usual) am not willing to pay retail for a matching front. As far as I can recall, the only black Campagnolo hubs were Record and Mirage. I was hoping the last gen Centaur was made in black, but it doesn't appear that it was. Am I missing anything?

What else is available in 32 black and reasonably priced? Miche would be fine but they are much better priced as pairs. Who makes the Ambrosio hubs? I suspect they are overpriced for what they are, but don't know anything about them.

Im fine with hubs not matching if the rest of the wheelset matches and you do it with a cool part. Lots of cool NOS 90s MTB stuff out there.

This qualifies:

Get yourself some black rims, silver spokes, and a pair of 90s skewers. I would ride them.

Edit:
I would be ok with this pending rim choice:

Radial lace it and go 3x on the rear. With matching rims, spokes, and skewers, I think it would work

I searched the classifieds before posting, but Rob's hub didn't come up. Might have to do some dealing.

The Tioga hub is cool, but I want the hubs to be the same color. I have several older polished Campagnolo hubs on the shelf if I wanted to mix finishes. I think I have some black 105 hubs in a box somewhere, but that seems wrong to me. The Ambrosio would be a better fit if it's not actually something on the order of a rebranded Formula - in which case I might as well buy a Formula for half the cost. Anyone recognize it?

Mark...Could always use a BHS/Bitex Ultralight type front...~$40.

...or what about something as simple as this?: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Shimano-Deore-Front-HUB-32-NEW-QR-NO-skewer-Black-Sealed-non-cartridge-Bearing-/252408904461?hash=item3ac4be3b0d:g:xggAAOSwX~dWosV d

Apparently the Zenith front is a Novatec A171:

That Sansin reminds me of Superbe Pro track hubs. Looks like a less polished version with some different hardware.

Thanks. Can't see spending $11 for the Ambrosio logo.

I'd looked at the Deore hubs too, but if I go Shimano I think I have 5700 or 5800 on hand.
