Just took off (for the first time since I bought this on this forum) campy super record 11 and noticed the plastic spacer was in two pieces. I didn't notice anything shifting or otherwise.

Is this a common occurrence with campy cassettes and anyone know if I can source this plastic piece?

I wouldent say its normal wear n tear but its a non issue even so. Im sure there are plenty of nice forumites who will send you a spacer for free. I would if i didn't live far far away.

I wouldn't consider it normal but I found a crack on mine last year and I bought it new a couple years ago.

Never been able to crack a spacer, metal or plastic but friends have... measure the thickness, maybe somebody has one or a few moving around.

I have a crack on on of my 10 speed cassettes (centaur). I saw it and was not cracked all the way so I just super glued it and it has been totally fine every since. I am sure you can find a spacer to replace that one.

Not common as in I only have 1 that this has happened to (and was brand new and only has probably 500 miles) but it definetely happens

Not sure if this will work but i think a 1 1/8 spacer might work?? (2 or 3 mm height) just dremel it till you get the right height?

Pretty common on that unique spacer. If it isn't perfectly inserted, it breaks. Vecchio's has them

Happens, over-torquing lockring can contribute. Replacements easy to find at a number of online retailers. Part #is 2-CS-712. Google this and it gives you a bunch of sources to buy, but you should support Peter's old shop. It is 2.3 mm wide if you want to try to jury rig something else, given the low cost (18.99 for a pair online) and the close tolerances, I just ordered a couple when this happened to me. The Campagnolo website has a great archive of exploded views and part #'s. For any Campy small part, looking it up on the Campy website followed by a Google search will do the trick.

Just sent one to a friend, his wasn't very old and broke.

I had a Campy sprocket break, is that normal? :hello:

If someone needs an 11sp spacer, send me a self addressed stamped envelope.

Common problem, and at Vecchio's, we got '5 packs' from Campag NA. Most of the time, the spacer isn't in the 'detents', and breaks as soon as the cogset is torqued down.
