The beginning was great but the Rapha stuff went on too long and kind of rambled a bit IMO.
I identify a lot with what he's talking about even though I started at a young age (I did a 50 miler in middle school) and only stopped in college when my bike was stolen and I didn't have money. It sure does make you feel different as everyone around you seems to age twice as fast due to lifestyle choices.

Daughter forwarded this article to my wife. She read me bits of it as she went through it.
Thought I'd get some grief (she's been a bit---OK, more than a bit---anti-cycling since my crash last summer), but I didn't, not at all.
Although she now doesn't want to wear the Rapha rain jacket I bought her on close-out a couple of yrs ago...

Rapha got their $3300 worth with that advertorial. I can sh*t better copy than that, LOL, and I haven't been a professional writer for ten years.
