Looking to get these wheels as the braking power, or lack thereof, on my enves is starting to freak me out a little on the steep descents in my area.

I went to competitive cyclist and they have both clincher and tubeless for the same price. It is my understanding that you can run tubes in tubeless so not much of a difference and the weight penalty seems minimal at 20 grams for the set. Am I missing something here? I assume it would be best to go tubeless so I can set up either way unless spoke tension is a hassle because of the set up.

Also, I found them for 799 which seems to be the best deal I can locate thus far. Any better deals out there? Anyone want to sell me a lightly used set???

Thanks.

Wes

I bought some from Texas Cycle Sport with a small discount code last month.
Haven't used them yet but the diff between Tubeless and clincher is no spoke holes on the inside of the tubeless and a deep recess in the center to aid in getting the tight tires on.
Kind of wish I'd gone tubeless version instead.

If you want to buy them overseas, Wiggle and the others have them for about $735

I'd be careful about these guys..known to sell seconds, blems and have a non existent warranty regardless of what they may say. From a guy who works at shimano...

I have them and like them.. I have the older version, so tube only (7900). Very durable and extremely fast/smooth hubs. Enjoy!

I've got a set I'm not going to use. Brand new, never even unboxed. Tubeless version w DA hubs (WH-9000-C24-TL). I can let them go for $725 + pp fees.
