I started taking peloton magazine about six months ago. Say what you will about the magazine, but I think my favorite element, besides some of the stories, is the prominently featured and usually before unseen photographs from the hortons.
This is no shill, just an observation.

Anyone here know them?

I don't know what there affiliation with peloton is, but it is great for someone like me ( and the magazine) who would not get to see these photos on a regular basis.

I need to make it a point next time I am in San Fran to visit the shop, if open to the public.

Brett and his wife do not have a shop per se in San Francisco. It is more of a small private museum. They have always been very available to me whenever I have asked to visit and I also know of many others who have visited but all had pre-arranged to come by.

Not sure if published by the Horton Collection but there was a TDF calendar with b&w vintage pics ... awesome :D

Met the Hortons at NAHBS this year, purchased a reprint of a photo he's got of Coppi at the Lombardia on the wall now.

They're both a delight, and Brett and I bonded over our mutual interest in collecting comic art alongside his love of cycling photos. The guy's quite the collector.

From what I understand, their business is mostly online, so I don't expect you'll see a storefront per se, but I'd imagine if you dropped them a line ahead of time they could set something up.

I bought a large, signed Merckx photo from Brett at NAHBS. I had it professionally framed and it hangs in my den. Awesome.

I also chatted with the Hortons at NAHBS. Nice folks with a genuine passion. It had not occurred to me try to visit their home base, but I may have to try to rustle something together now . . . .

I love their stuff and have followed their site since it started, but my guess is that the vast majority of their collection is not up for sale. The website is mostly signed posters and I've never seen any of their "rare" stuff for sale, for any price. I don't blame him, but curious to know if anyone has ever found otherwise.

Yes, I have a WordPerfect jersey that I probably wear at least once a month. It gets more comments than all my other jerseys combined! In the 90s, WP was the #1 wordprocessing software and just about every lawyer and techie used it!

And yes, WP is still alive today! They combined themselves with Quattro Pro spreadsheet, Winzip compression tool and Paradox database to become Corel Suites. Woohoo! Take that Microsoft....Good Luck!
