Roy orbison repaired it and sammy davis jr applied all the finishing touches.

I recieved this photo of a normal dropout. I couldnt see any cracks where the axle sat but something definately didnt look right.
Posted for future reference.

For the record, if its a c40 and the guy was able to stop the corrosion putting something in there like a layer of carbon or something, then doubt you will have problems with it, specially if the price was right.

Is hard to find a 1st generation c40 in good condition now a days.

No. Its packed up and gone now. I had it for maybe an hour. My OCD would have the best of me keeping it. It was beautiful. Just not there. I paid well for it so........
