'Da turd climb', love his commentary. Get rid of CVV, have him and Bobke for the TdF....as long as ya can keep 'em kinda sober.

no way, the more drunk they are, the better the commentaries....

Fair enough, just heard that Australian audiences get the team of Robbie McEwen and Matthew Keenan for the TDF commentary... so they're getting rid of the two Ronnies um, Phil & Paul show.

Could be very good; they bring out the best in each other.

I can fall asleep easily listening to him. I like Bob's commenting much better.

instead of a drinking game, one can play a pie eating game: one spoonful of a pie (or preferably a torte) every time Sean says any of the following: dangerman, bonification, torty, etc

King Kelly is always very informative. But for me, this was Rob Hatch's best event yet. He was brilliant. His calls in the last two mountain stages were pure poetry. I wish he was going to the Tour, but it will be Carlton Kirby. Still, he's better than, well, the You Know Whos.

I had been saving this as a project to do on the trainer next winter. I wanted to listen to a complete broadcast of a race with Sean and actually tally how he starts his comments. My guess is that it would look something like this.

Yes, well, but he's still great.

He doesn't say much but when he says something it's important.

He always sounds like a parody of a sports commentator to me--like one that Monty Python did ages ago

Ha ha ha! That's great (I mean "tat is great")!
"How often does Sean Kelly insert an "h" after a "t"?" Zero = single-color chart.

Yes, well, but he's still great.
:) But are you sure tat tere is an "s" before 'till?
