That Kruijswick crash looked terrible. Almost as bad as my spelling of his name.

Reports are Zakarin has a possible broken collarbone. Kruijswick is back on the bike and appears to be ok, but he's losing a lot of time fast. Possible he loses the pink jersey to Chaves today. That crash was nuts into the snow!

hes lucky if its only a collarbone...i didnt see the crash but he was WELL off the road and not moving around in that helicopter shot.

I've only seen the replay of the Kruijswijk crash once. It looks like he just drifted to the right, and into the snow. Did he not see it? did he lose traction? Was it around a corner?

The video makes it look like it was a sweeping turn, not really a tight bend.

Sweeping turn, high entry speed...maybe a little condensation on the (carbon) braking surface...not a great descender...all factors. He just miscalculated it big time.
