DT Swiss 340 road hub

Does anyone have experience with these hubs and if so what do you think? How do they compare to the 240s. I am looking for some Campy compatible hubs to build (or perhaps have built) a set of 32 hole tubular wheels. They are going to be for general use and training.

they are heavier than the 240s.
the axle is steel.
i have used a set for about 5k miles and they are aok. although i need to rebuild w/ a new rim at this point.

My distributer doesn't carry them. They think that the price difference is not enough to justify buying it (re: not a big enough savings). I have no personal experience.
