Hi Y'all.......
I'm considering a purchase of a Concours "full-ti".....
and am just wondering if anyone owns a rather larger(60-63)
model...
and just what your "riding-experience" on this frame has been??

For someone my size(6'5'' 195lbs.)..
would it be a better decision to go "all-out" and opt for the Legend??

thanks!

I am not likely the best person to talk on this subject, as this is my first ti bike, first Serotta, first sloping TT, etc., but I bought Frank Beshears Concours a few months ago and I think it is pretty beautiful to ride. It has custom geometry that I am not fond of aesthetically, but hte angles are standard with the exception of 42m chainstays. It has the HT of a 62cm frame, so it slopes, but is quite tall. This is probably not bad for me because I have some back/neck problems (stiff neck right at this moment in fact!) Overall, I normally right a 58CM TT, so this bike fits fine (it is measured by Serotta as a 59x58tt).

I weigh 200lbs and find it perfectly smooth and suitably stiff - I can turn corners fairly hard with confidence and the BB seems to stay in place when standing up. I normally ride 'vintage' steel frames (my other bike is a 1990 Cinelli that i love) and it has a similar ride, but is definitely more responsive, mostly due to weight savings.

I have seen a few Legends and quite honestly, I can't imagine that the quality is any less on mine - it is near perfect (a ridiculous flaming paint job as well!) so if you prefer a more solid ride and to save $1000, I would say go for it - I love mine!

My Legend is a 64 all Ti. I love the all Ti rear. I would never go carbone
Save some frn's ( fed reverse notes ) and go concours.
If you are 225 plus, the may be think Legend, This seems to be the distilled
wisdom of the phorum.

I just happened to be looking at Serotta stuff on that big auction site.

You might have some interest in this: http://tinyurl.com/escl6 (http://tinyurl.com/escl6)

For getting what you want, I prefer to use auctionstealer.com, as well.

From the Serotta Home page *******
05-30-06 Please be aware that one or more F3 Forks have shown up on eBay claiming to be Serotta factory products. These are NOT authentic Serotta products and do not use Serotta parts or meet our standards for performance and safety.
