Anyone have recommendations for good rain booties? I'm doing a 5 day, 320 mile ride soon (Climate Ride California), and see some rain in the 10-day forecast. My 5-year old thermo booties are pretty much falling apart and generally aren't very water resistant.

Was looking at the POC AVIP Rain Booties, but can't tell if they're actually waterproof (they say, "resistant"). Any other good options out there? Seems like there are compromises all around and no perfect options out there. Bay Area shops don't have much to choose from in-store (what's rain?), so primarily looking online. Thanks!

I don't usually like or wear pearl Izumi but their WxB shoe covers are absolutely awesome.

You might look at Velotoze (http://www.velotoze.com). The are quite simply a tight-fitting rubber shoe cover, but they are only about $15. They don't last years and years from what I can tell but they do look like they would prevent water intrusion. I have 2 friends that use them for time trailing and they like them.

Wow, price is definitely right. I'll check them out for sure, thanks!
