I've also been looking since they were shown at Frostbike. No signs yet.

I'd give 'em a shot as well.

It would be nifty if they would go tanwalls on the file treads while they are at it.

Might save me from the Soma Vitesse SLs at $60 per......

Add me to the list. I want to try them in my yeti. I need to find a 40 to test fit.

Ordered from universal cycles Monday. Expect them tomorrow.

They also have the new Kenda Flintridge and Maxxix Rambler. Hope to put some miles on the Panaracers this weekend and will report back.

Edit. Oops, the ones linked are all black rather than tan side walls. Will leave this up in case it helps someone find a tire they like.

I hate tan, so these are perfect. Except they are 100g heavier than Ramblers...

got some of the all black ones from QBP and I really like them. Hoping they get the road 40mm in soon.

I was using Marathon Cross on that bike before, which are known to be very slow tires. The gravelking sk 40mm felt a lot faster, and they seem to be more sure-footed. Running them tubeless, so I'm not as worried about the football sized rocks that we have around here

Fyi, my 40's measured 42 on a rim with 19mm internal width.

My 28s are just regular plain-old Gravel Kings -- what's the "SK" designation? Is that what they call the gumwalls? Or does it indicate aerodynamic graphene bearings or something?

I thought it meant small knob.

Fyi, my 40's measured 42 on a rim with 19mm internal width.Yes, they must have measured on a small rim. I didn't measure, but if my Marathons were 38 mm, these are at least 42, they are huge. I'm running them on Stans Arch Ex. When I first mounted them, I started to worry about clearance problems, but no issues on my bike. Others might not be so lucky

Didn't know Ramblers were that light. I may have to try them out after my MSO's wear out.

Gee, I was hoping the SK meant ' Somewhat Khaki' ;)

Why not look at Bruce Gordon Rock n Road tires instead? Available, likely better ride quality, durability, overall construction quality, etc.... And if these Gravel Kings measure 42mm wide the RnR tires at 43mm won't be far off. It's been my experience that rim width did not affect their width.

Has compass tires are made by Panaracer wouldn't they be the same

This is the best gravel road tire out there in my opinion. The Gravelkings do look nice but I have no reason to change.

You really think Panaracer makes one tire and others just co-brand it? No.

Preliminary report on the black sidewall Gravelking SK 40. I didn't get a chance to ride them this weekend but I did set them tubeless on Pacenti PL23 rims. I used Pacenti tape also and they were tight anyway. Getting the first bead on the rim was enough effort to consider using a lever. The second bead was not that difficult and could have been done using the eight finger method but with a lever they were not difficult.

Aired up easily with a hand pump and sealed immediately. Without sealant they held air for at least six hours but were getting soft. Panaracer specs that a sealer be used of course. Applied orange seal and inflated yesterday afternoon. 30 psi then and this morning according to my SKS gauge. I've been running 38-40 psi on 32 Slant sixes but judging solely by sag 30 psi looks about right to start. I think they are going to be great for large deep gravel and will give a ride report first chance.
