What are some good options for aero jerseys? I'm not a fan of flappy jerseys and want something for days when I feel like Fabian C. I have skinny shoulders and there always seems to be too much material up there. I'm 6'4" and have resorted to wearing mediums in most American brands. Even race cut.

Our team aero jerseys are made by Castelli. I'm 6'1", 157lbs and a small fits me well. They aren't the most breathable but the fit is what you want for this purpose.

The nalini and santini house brand stuff is a snug fit for skinny euro types.

The high-end Capo jerseys are the most aero-looking I've seen recently

Voler makes what is essentially a skin suit jersey but not--the Velocity Pro. I saw them when trying stuff on for a club order and they were definitely a slim cut.

I have one via my team order. I like it. It fits snugly and is quite thin.

I'm 5'5", 125 -130 lbs. All 3 jerseys discussed below are XS. Small build, although I do lift weights some.

Got a Vanilla jersey as a gift to myself, and I believe it's based on the Castelli aero jersey. The fit is very, very snug, even more snug than my Voler jersey. It's especially snug in the chest and shoulders.

My Louis Garneau jersey (new team) definitely fits more loosely (yes, it is race cut). Not exactly flapping in the wind, however.

So far, I like the Castelli one the best, although it may actually be too small (this has never happened to me before!!). It may be a better fit for someone with narrow shoulders.

Verge's whatever race stuff is super tight. You really don't want to be carrying much weight as the jerseys look comically small before you put them on.

As 5'7" I can use a size M at 155 lbs but at 170 I think I'd be arrested.

The jersey I have says "Triumph Jersey" "Men's Strike".

I guess the TOR jersey is "better".

disclaimer: for the longest time Verge sponsored my spring series races. However I would choose to buy from them first due to their long standing grassroots support, both at a company and their employees individually, and the fact that their stuff works great.

I'm about 6'1" with a slim upper body as well and have struggled to fine jerseys that don't have a lot of extra fabric in the arms and shoulders, as well as the stomach. Often, going with a race fit medium leaves me with a very short jersey that fits me through the body well.

Some Castelli jerseys (mostly race fit larges) are a good fit. Be careful of getting the "Americanized" versions like the GPM that take into account the stomachs that many US riders have.

I recently discovered the Louis Garneau Carbon Jersey (I wear a medium) as well. It fits fantastically and has a decent amount of length too.

My team uses Verge.

The Strike jersey is a nice race-cut jersey, but the TOR is a bonkers awesome aero jersey - it's basically the top half of a skinsuit, super thin light material that is super stretchy. Very comfortable, close fit.

I took some pictures of some of the new Verge jerseys I have left. They're all of size S jerseys except the one that has "15" on the back (that's an XL). I don't wear them unless I earn them so I can only wear the ones that have '10 on them.

2014 size S jersey on its own, I tried to highlight the various aspects in one shot. I put a can of Atomic Balm inside to try and show how well it drapes. The can bisects the thinner top fabric and the slightly thicker lower fabric.

Two size S, one from 2008 or so, one from 2014. The 2008 is "regular", the 2014 is one of their nicer ones, first year they offered it.

The back, with detail work. The 15 indicates 2015, the one below is 2014.

The sleeves are comically small (my hands are a size Medium for most gloves). They do stretch. Overall everyone was really shocked at how small the jerseys look, but they all liked how they fit once they put them on.

Waist band belt, sort of like what you'd find around the legs of shorts or knickers. Rubbery, very sticky.
https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Jt_FfDrnydE/VzNgwbUj-KI/AAAAAAAAI6I/aMqyxi5YxhgxNcbT_PqyiKPEgi1ufDaLQCLcB/s800/0511160946.jpg

Hard to capture the thinness of the fabric (up top). Trying to use my fingers to show how it drapes. It feels like silk. The mid-section has black squiggly elastics inside (see the first picture, the lower part is the thicker stuff).

I don't know many other brands, but for example my Craft stuff is not nearly as nice. The closest I can compare is to the Castelli second skin shorts I got at Interbike one year.

I think I'll take a look at the Castelli offerings. Those can be readily had without team logos and (relatively) cheaply. It'll probably be my race jersey for the rest of the season as I am resigning from my team.

I just picked up a Castelli Aero Race jersey off the classifieds and it's pretty spectacular. It's slick and aero without being compressive. Also very lightweight and the materials feel high-end.

I also some some Voler and PI aero jerseys. My Volers were NOS leftovers from the UHC pro team, so I don't know the model. They fit me well (size small, 5'8", 130) and are plenty snug without being restrictive.

The PI jersey, though... It's a NOS BMC team leftover and while I don't know the model, I have to imagine it's named something like "Pro Sausage Casing". It is really tight. To the point of somewhat restricting circulation in my arms.

Of those 3 types, the Castelli is easily the nicest. I'd have a closet full of them if they were cheaper.

That's an effin' sweet jersey but, I'm looking at around $70. I'm cheap like that.

There isn't, except what they list in their online store. However, if you decide to get some you should be able to do a relatively small order. Also you can just ask them if they have stuff to sell. You never know if they have some demos or whatever to sell off.

I've done small custom orders for myself. I ordered bib knickers maybe 6 or 7 years ago. I just told them "Put your logo on the side of the thigh and make the things black. I think I got 6? I also got shorts for myself, same thing (black with Verge on the side panel), I think that was in 2000 or something. I still have a bunch although I don't wear them that often nowadays.

I haven't ordered any jerseys since I wear a club/team kit when I ride. Teams generally don't get bib knickers and, for many years, I raced for my own club (Carpe Diem Racing) and I made the Verge shorts the official short for the club (I have some old friends that would put CDR on their license, others that wear the kit out of support, etc). For the trainer I have a couple bins of old kits to choose from.

Also, although they may hang up on you (lol) you can say that you saw the Bethel Spring Series jerseys and spoke with Aki. I've been dealing with Verge for something like 10 years for leader's jerseys and Kurt used to race the Series 15-20 years ago (and do really well). After he stopped racing he would visit the races when he could, I think 2014 was the last time he visited (I thought that would be my last Series, ends up 2015 was my last). Verge showed up for a couple years on Sweep Day (when we shoveled/broomed/scooped sand/ice/snow off the course) with their Verge truck and a few guys. A couple years they couldn't even do any of the races but they still showed up to help clear the course.

Obviously I have a good relationship with them but I am a big fan of the way they support the local cycling community, their no-BS way of getting things done, and, of course, their product.
