While cruising down a long straight slight decline road in walnut creek doing about 15 mph a skater board passed me up
I am retiring today!!
I tired to see if it was an electric powered skateboard. I could see any battery box. So has of today all my bicycles and fastest sneakers are for sale $1.00 each
At near 80
Charles
PS I did do on Sunday climbing from Southgate entrance up Mt. diablo CA some of my personnel bests records per Strava

From one old guy to another. Don't feel bad. Anyone can go downhill fast, the real challenge is to go uphill fast. My money is on you beating the skateboarder uphill.

Simple solution - do like the pro's and get one of these:

My buddy mark in alameda rides a z-board and I think he can go 20 on it and there is no visible motor, so don't feel bad. I don't think it will climb el Diablo but he rides it everywhere else.

I'd say if you can still climb that bastard at 80 you are doing fine!

At least on the bike - I can't draw a straight line. And when you do sell it, I'm still top of the list for the pink Bruce Gordon, right? :D

I'm officially old now. I started to give the cashier the extra change she gave me. I looked at the reciept - senior discount! I didn't even ask for it.

Funny. I had the same experience today. I was thinking "that kid's going pretty fast on that thing" - but the reality was that I was crawling along. My blood sugar was probably about 50, so that's my excuse. I will say, the kid never passed me.

Us oldies(I am 60 )should start giving stem cells of our good parts to each other so we all are at least without injuries. Age is more than enough of an equalizer:crap:
