I'm running a 3T stem to an Enve bar, and have yet to be ejected from the saddle for the mortal sin of mixing brands. I have Zip to Ritchey on my other bike, and I've actually fallen off of that one, so guess it really all depends. Good luck.

I have never ever matched an entire cockpit and my life has been generally unremarkable and at times miserable. I've been hit by a motor vehicle at least four times on these bikes. I have not and probably never will recover from most of the traumatic events of my childhood, one of which was riding in a bike trailer pulled by my mother on a Motobecane Grand Mirage with neither the stem nor the bars of matching make. I also have moderate to severe depression, often feeling hopeless and alone. Don't be like me.

For the sake of fashion, your bars stem and seatpost (unless your frame uses a proprietary one) should all match. I've never been that fashionable myself on any bike.

Imagine what would happen if you put some zipp wheels on that fork.

The corporations prefer matching.

The hub would spontaneously release all of it's spokes. Next question.

People actually ask questions like this? 31.8 stem/31.8 bar = works.

If you want to be anal, then make sure the stem, bar, and seatpost match. And if the brand makes anything else, you better use that too. Saddle, wheels,...

Or you can say, this is totally stupid, I'll do what I feel like, and if it bugs someone, too bad for them. (And I got your back on that one.)
