I got a light brown Cinelli Unicanitor suede saddle that needs some cleaning.
Googling mostly returns recommendations for using those suede specific brushes (combo of rubber and brass bristles).
We had one at home and I tried it but that seems to destroy the leather since it's really soft.

Is there any kind of soap, cleaner etc. that works but does not cause additional stains?

Have you tried a gum eraser? That al ads worked best for me.

These people make great suede (and other) shoe care products.
Highly recommended. You do not need to buy from the UK; I get mine from Amazon, etc.

NEVER use a bristle brush of any kind on suede; as you said they really will tear the leather out.
Use these crepe brushes instead (http://www.saphirmedailledorshop.co.uk/saphirmdo-crepe.html)

I'm old enough to remember when Cinneli saddles and various copy-cat versions were popular. The suede ones looked nice when new but always get shiny after awhile. The buffalo hide ones looked cool, but I like the smooth black leather best, as it was easier to slide around on the saddle.

Good luck with that.

Don't clean it- brushes just make it look worse.
Best fix is saddle time- lots of riding makes suede saddles smooth. Then it looks right.

Yep, I might just do that.
