I guess there are a lot of people who have experience with Neutrons so heres my question. I have been running 23mm ProRace4 and now Vittoria CX tires.
The Vittorias blow up to about 24 on my micrometer.

I would like to try some fatter tires but the Neutrons are a pretty narrow rim width.

I tried Michelin 25s but they where like balloons on my rims..

Anybody have experience running 25mm tires on Campy Neutron Ultra rims ? What do you use. Which tires are true 25s and which blow up real big..

(Oh BTW I tend to ride quite aggressively run the comp versions for best grip over wear.. My priority is good contact not super longevity.)

Actually the Neutron/Nucleon clinchers have fairly wide rims, for 'traditional' width clinchers. IIRC, mine are between 20-21 mm, and about 15 mm internal.

I've had great luck using 23 mm Corsa CX's, haven't gone wider. Haven't seen the need to be honest, at least riding paved roads.

They have such a comfortable ride and corner very well. Actually quite close to my HED C2's with 25 mm tires... at least IMO.

That all said, Veloflex Masters in '25' would be a good choice, since they measure smaller than advertised. But they ride like a bigger tire in all the best ways.

And they're available in gumwall.

The Grand Bois 700C x 26 Cerf (or 28) would work wonderfully on those rims... Huge ride improvement.

Thwart yeah I had a set of Vittoria Corsa CX on last season. Then I discovered the 24mm CR. But the CX 23 blows up to 24.25 and the CR was dead on 24 go figure.
Getting ready for a new set so may just go back to the CX 23s.. Has anybody tried the larger CX 25 ??

Also anyone know how big the Contis blow up.

To the guys that suggested balloons.. my frame can't handle anything bigger than a 25

the new G+ corsa's in 25c are some of the best riding clinchers on the market right now.

Well the Continental GP4s 25s run small, ride well and are pretty comfortable for their size...

For those wheels....I like the new V1 PR4's. Maybe race in front, and Endurance V1 in rear. 700X23.

I have some Neutrons with Pro Race 4 25's and they blow up to 25.5 at 90 PSI. They look normal to me.

Birddog you may have struck lucky. Even on bicyclerollingresistance.com they say the pro 4 blows up to 28.. quite a bit bigger than the other 25mm tires..
When I tried a set out on my rims they looked like balloons.

They say Contis are closer to claimed width...

the pro 4s do go up to 28mm when used on 23mm rims. However they are excellent tires. Not sure why you keep saying ballons, so do the pro 4s not fit or do you not want such bigger tires?

I would say try some Paves. The 27mm ones measure about 25.5 on my 22mm rims. Great tires

I used to use Pro4 23s liked the Vittorias better.,. as I have said in my original posting the Mich Pro4 25s blew up too big. I did not like them..
