Started setting my Thomson Seat collar to 5Nm cuz I like to use a Ritchey Torque Key(set at 5Nm) when i travel. Usually worried about damaging the post when cranking a little extra, didn't think much of compromising a Ti post at 5Nm.
Remembering the collar is rated at 2.8Nm max thought i would ask the Thomson folks if any issues could come of this. Their response below....
Tightening our collar to 5Nm - It’ll end up cracking at the front from overstressing.
Guess Im traveling with an adjustable T wrench.
