Viewing .kmz files on iPad with current position

After our weekend MTB rides a .kmz file is sent around. I'd like to be able to import that into my iPad and use it while riding to check on my position, so I'd like to go beyond being able to open and see the route, which I can do now.

I use Ridewithgps to record my rides also, and would like to be able to do the same with these rides - open previous rides and start a new ride with current location being tracked and shown.

Have a look at the Galileo app. I think it will import .kmz files. Anyway it's pretty great for simple gps based navigation.
