I did search the forum first before asking. Couldn't find the answer or I suck at searching. Anyway...

I just picked up the 2015 Chorus 11sp shifters and derailleurs. I have a Shimano 5800 cassette 11sp 11-28 on my wheels and also plan to get a KMC 11sp chain. FWIW, I have an FSA crank.

I was thinking that this combo would work, but now I'm second guessing, and really don't want to blow up my new Campy bits, or have crappy shifts.

I'm sure one of you smarties has the answer, so thanks in advance.

The key is to match the 2015 ergos and RD.

You should be OK.

OP will likely give his blessing in the AM... ;)

I was hoping he would. And, yep they are a matched set.

You're good then. I've used that exact combo before. 2015 chorus, 5800 11-28 cassette, KMC X11sl chain. I'm using a quarq with 10s rings right now, and it still shifts great.

It'll work fine, even the big tech boy at shimano used a combo like this when shimano first came out with 11s. Yes, they have Campag bikes in their quiver, they just don't admit it. Wayne Stetina.

Thanks OP...sounds like they only tell what they have to. Wait, I'm in sales; I do that too!

I assume you mean a track bike guy...never been on one. I am a Trekie (as in Kirk and Spock), although I did once have a Madone.

Ended up with a Chorus 11sp chain and KMC Missing Link. Works amazingly well with the 5800 cassette. I followed the 2015 installation video on YouTube, and I have to say, if you follow the steps exactly as they say, the setup is a breeze. The shifting is great, and the drive train is super silent. VERY pleased. Time to find another road to ride!
