Doing a yearly inventory of stuff in saddle bags. I've been carrying around a 16-tool Topeak (and a Park). Don't remember ever using it on the road, other than a 4 and 5mm wrench once or twice. I am going to keep the big tools for solo, miles-from-civilization rides and buy some smaller/lighter ones.

Any of you used these Fix It Sticks? Any issues with them? $30 seems a bit steep for what it is...

I was also thinking this tiny Super Tool from Topeak, add a 4mm and a tire lever, then call it good.

i've got a whole bunch of mini tools, but my current favorite is this PRO tool. very well made and lays perfectly flat. one of the few i own that is not rusty. the fix it sticks are a cool idea and i own a set, but the bits they come with are tool grade steel and rust pretty quickly if exposed to moisture, mine are a mess.

I have the fix it sticks, they're really nice, if a bit fiddly to get in and out of the case on the side of the road. You still need tire levers and such and there is no chain tool.

My fix it sticks are too new to know if they're going to rust. No tool I've ever had in a saddle bag has not rusted, but the bike I put the fix it sticks on has a nice seat bag with a waterproof lining + zipper so maybe they'll survive.

I have a Topeak Alien whatever on my MTB, totally rusted, and a Crank Bros. mini tool on my gravel/commuter bike and that is totally rusty too. (That one rusted really fast)

I have the fix it sticks. They are nice, work pretty well and its nice to just carry the bits you need (I have the replaceable version though, a bit heavier but I like that I can carry what I need)

Agree about the fix it sticks. I have them in one of my bike's saddle bag. They work.
I prefer the pictured park tool above.

I have replaceable version, as the original version did not have all the bits I need. They work very well for me.

The Park version pictured above does not have enough reach to access my seatpost bolts.

i tried some of the first gen fixit sticks (from the original kickstarter). the unreinforced alloy body quickly rounded out after just a few uses. 0/10 would not recommend.

another endorsement for the PRO line of mini tools. Mine is slightly larger than AS's and comes with a second piece and small carrying sleeve but the functionality and durability for what I seem to recall being a small price is amazing.

I have and use the crap out of me fixit stix.. no case, just have em loose in my pocket tool pouch.

Fixit stix
Spoke wrench (hopefully soon to omit, now that I have tied n soldered my rear)
Minipump

So light

All I carry, all I need, homie.

I don't think they're made anymore, but the CPR-9 is by far my favorite of the bunch:
