Got an itch to start planning my next one (colnago ct1 redo) and want to start with some custom decals.

Rather, I want to find someone who can make me some retro looking colnago decals but that will wrap around my fatter ti tubes.

Any ideas?

You, Photoshop, and a printer should do the trick.

I had some custom decals made from a vendor on etsy. Search for colnago decal & you will find them. Just send them a message to ask for the specific size etc. IIRC, the have single color colnago decals already so alterations would be easy

THere's plenty colnago decals around, sure you need custom?? always you can ask an specific color for the decals to guys like Velodecals for example.

FWIW, Photoshop is about as good for making quality decals is as an Easy Bake Oven is for making pies.

Illustrator, in vector format (EPS) or don't waste your time.

I think you guys are underestimating my computer/photoshop skills. I gots mad skills, but not in decal making.

No doubt, but not the best tool for the job. ;)

Gus Salmon (water slide) - https://www.facebook.com/gsalmondecals/ & http://www.ipernity.com/home/363397

Greg Softley (vinyl) - http://cyclomondo.net/

Both are very well respected in the vintage bike community. If what you are after is a slightly enlarged set of Colnago decals, I would guess either one could modify from the artwork they already have on-hand.

I would not bother asking Cyclomondo. It's true they sell a lot of decals but in all honesty everything I have ordered from him was really subpar.

Velocals does great work though are you can choose some colors. As far as I know they won't go beyond that regarding custom work.

OP did you consider doing stencils instead?

Haven't considered it, is it hard to do?

Also, hang on, I'm working on something.....

how about introducing a little Molteni colorway to the redo? Maybe I shouldn't mess with it, but then I remembered that I can do whatever the "F" I want:D

Here's my frame in it's naked form. I can buy these decals easy, but I'm kinda tired of black and yellow.

I played with the downtube sticker colors just a bit to see if this would maybe look good. Thoughts?

I'm sure any of the decal vendors mentioned can produce in different colors...

I like the look of that blue panel & orange letters. Is it Molteni? Maybe, maybe not, but does that matter? It's a nice-looking combination. Much more flavorful than the yellow and black.

I'm a fan of panels and a big fan of the Molteni scheme, but in the case of your bike I'm not sure panels work as well given the carbon stays and fork. I think a cleaner look with decals is a better visually clean look.
