I just finished reading Gironimo!: Riding the Very Terrible 1914 Tour of Italy (https://www.amazon.ca/Gironimo-Riding-Very-Terrible-Italy/dp/0224092073) by Tim Moore. It is a great book about the race and the author's retracing the course on a period bike. I would give this book 2 thumb shifters up!

Has anyone else read this?

Thanks Daryl

Haven't read it yet... but sounds like I should get a copy soon.

He is a good writer and very funny, in a self deprecating British way. I think you would appreciate that.

A terrific read! The final incident in Milan filled me with an unfamiliar emotion: envy. This book was on our public library's new nonfiction shelf next to Lanterne Rouge, another title worthy of attention.

Tim Moore's earlier Tour de France book "French Revolutions" is also great.

I liked the Gironimo book.
It is a fun and interesting read.
It provides a very refreshing "just do it" perspective on cycling and shows what is possible when one follows it.
